구찌, 내년부터 동물모피 사용 중단 선언
The CEO of Gucci says the luxury fashion brand will go fur-free from next year.
Marco Bizzarri made the announcement on Wednesday during a talk at the London College of Fashion, saying the changes will come into force with the brand’s spring-summer collection.
The Italian fashion house will also auction off all of its remaining animal fur items, as part of what Bizzarri called commitment to “sustainability”.
He said the new approach was in part thanks to Gucci’s creative director, Alessandro Michele, who was appointed two years ago.
